Traditionally divided into High Rias (Ribadeo, Foz, Vivero, Barquero, Ortigueira, Cedeira, Ferrol, Betañazos, la Coruña, Corme y Lage y Camariñas) and Low Rias, with a smaller size and located in the south of Finisterre, the furthest point west of Galicia (Corcubión, Muros y Noya, Arosa, Pontevedra y Vigo). The rias specially contribute to the fishing tradition of the area

Besides the rias, capes are also very frequent in the Galicia Coast. Among them, we have to emphasiza the la Estaca de Bares, el Cabo Ortegal, Cabo Prior, Punta Santo Adrao, Cabo Vilán, Cabo Touriñán, Cabo Finisterre and Cabo Silleiro. The 315 archipielagos of the coast draw a rocky and rugged landscape extremely beautiful. The main groups of islands in the region are Arosa, Sisargas, Malveiras, Sálvora, Ons and Cíes
